Our Community Support Services are the heart of MWI, offering vital support to individuals with neurodivergence, intellectual disabilities, trauma, and autism spectrum disorder. Since 2017, we’ve worked with adults, youth, and families dealing with substance use and mental health issues. Through our Neurodivergent Volunteer Program, we provide life skills workshops, social skills development, and positive decision-making activities. With monthly meet-ups and year-round events—such as winter coat distribution, school supply drives, and our annual bowl-a-thon—everything leads up to our highly anticipated annual Christmas party, where we celebrate community and the spirit of giving. Volunteerism and support define who we are.
At MWI, we are committed to enhancing public safety through innovative programs that focus on collaboration with government entities. Our team is currently researching and developing strategies to ensure safer communities by partnering with local and national agencies. By working together, we aim to implement solutions that address the unique challenges of public safety in today's world, from emergency preparedness to everyday security. Our mission is to foster environments where everyone can thrive safely, and we are dedicated to being a proactive force in making that vision a reality.
At MWI, volunteerism is at the heart of what we do. We offer a variety of ways to get involved, from our innovative volunteer drone program to our neurodivergent volunteer group, providing meaningful opportunities for all. Our Volunteer Fun Team brings communities together by organizing events in underserved areas—creating a space where the community builds for itself. We believe that volunteerism not only strengthens communities but also fosters a culture of collaboration and support. We're always looking for new volunteers to join us in making a lasting impact, one community at a time.
MWI is dedicated to providing swift, impactful aid to communities affected by natural disasters. We mobilize volunteers, deliver emergency supplies, and collaborate with local partners to ensure immediate and effective relief. Whether facing hurricanes, wildfires, or floods, we stand by those in need, offering not only physical assistance but also emotional support during recovery. At MWI, our mission is to help rebuild lives and restore hope, bringing communities together to recover stronger.
